Farewell yyun =(

Yingyun is leaving to setapah tomorrow early morning for uni. Gonna study mechatronics engineering in utar for a sem. Though she would come back after a sem, which is april, but still leaving here for the first time after so long. Sighs, gonna miss her.

So. . .

Today I went to her house to meet the last time and also helped on some packing. I prepared the timetable for her. I'm kind. =D lol Reminded her on some stuff to bring there too.

And today must be a photo day, since she's leaving, and we took around 80 photos?Lol

In between of packing, we went dinas, expecting for roti and we sat down and ordered teh tarik. Later on they told us roti will not be available till evening, ishness. Texted yoke and asked whether she wanna join us for koay kak near the sg ara market. Drove there & it's closed. Fine, went to a lady's stall for kuih thingy and it's not opened as well. The indian stall was the only one available. Bought chicken curry puff and shared a glass of milk, the taste was indescribable, we had no idea what milk was that, it's neither condensed milk nor any type of milk sold in the market, wonder what's that.

初Five - mini gathering

Like in py's blog, 6 of us went to haisherng's house, sort of a mini gathering. More people will be leaving soon. =(

I'm early this time. =D And we played the boxing, tennis and the random game. Those games were interesting and cute. Andrew lost 2 boxing games to py? haha. In between we had some pineapple cookies, muruku and pringles. =D

Domino pizzas for dinner. Thanks to haisherng and his mum, =). Time flies, when eating and chatting, I received my mum's call. Sighs, got to leave at 840? Awww, this is sooo early. Can't see py being thrown into the pool. *grins* hehe. Anyway had a great time and gonna miss y' all.

• Went inti, submitted my ucas! it's like finally, hope I'm blessed
• Met an de lu for awhile and he accompanied me to buy some stuff

初三

Ama today cooked yummy chicken porridge, I had 2 bowls. =D There were relatives coming to ama's house. I just sat there, talked to cousins and had some cookies. There's this longer distance cousin bro whose name is zachary, he's only 7 but speak perfectly superb english and mandarin. His english has the nice slang while his mandarin has beijing accent, he just relocated from hk to malaysia. And he learnt spanish too, smart boy.

In the evening, yoke came awhile before I prepared to go for agong's birthday dinner. We dined at golden bay restaurant at sunway tunas. The tables had many empty seats as my coussie's bfses didn't come this year. Pampered with nice food though it's not superly scrumptious. =)

About 10 we finished the 8 course dinner and all of us headed to ama's house for my agong's birthday. Couz hooi ling, the pianist played the birthday songs and us, the 3rd generation got high and sang soo loud. We sang birthday songs in english, chinese and malay. Since we were in the mood of singing, we sang 3 christian songs which are known by everyone, namely give thanks, come on and celebrate and a hokkien song-真正好. Clapped till our hands reddish. Had so much fun singing with the whole family in high spirits. Agong looked happy and he smiled a lot. Yay. =D Blew the candle and whee, agong is 81! His birthday is 29th jan but since all of them are leaving, we made it earlier.

初二

Third aunt's father in law has invited us for lunch at zoo road. For me, the quality of the food is so-so. Not very nice, so restaurant ee tong is not recommended, =P. It's sort if late noon when we got home, 2 hours to rest before we head to queens for red cliff 2.

Cousin bro treated all of us for the movie, yay! =D I smuggled in apollos, sweets and biscuits. My mum smuggled in mandarin oranges. Lol. Bought 3 box of popcorns too. There were 8 of us in total. We got nice seats which were on the middle last row. This movie is awesome, I don't really fancy chinese history movie but this one was great. Could see how smart is zhu ge liang, the strategist and the sacrifice xiao qiao, zhouyu's wife did. Recommended to watch.

Couz bro and sis narrated funny stories they had when dining. Couz bro in kl actually got 3 summonses in a week, lmao, 900 bucks people! Gosh, how unlucky, just because he drove 110km/h on highway for exam. Ohh, and I'm a victim of my aunt's family for smacking bu**. Aunt passed this 'disease' to her daughters. When I'm walking. . . suddenly *smacks* from the back a few times, pity me, hah. Luckily I ain't a small kid anymore or she would pinch me as well.

How time flies, they're going back on friday early morning, around 4am. =( Then here would be so quiet once again.

CNY

初一
Cny morning service in uncle's church-aog. It was held in dewan sri pinang as it was a combined service from the chinese, english and hokkien section. The invited gospel singer has a powerful voice, and the pastor had given a meaningful message.

As usual, every year we goes to my maternal third aunt's place in tanjung bungah. She always serve us with tasty food. This year's we were served with homemade korean tanghoon, fried pumpkin with i-dunno-what and pancake. Drinks were aloe vera tea.

Next stop for visiting was to my maternal grandpa's sister and brother's place, also in tanjung bungah. Cookies, packet drinks made me full enough. The adults were talking while us, the younger ones chat among ourselves as we were boreed.

Then we went on separate ways, my mum and me proceed to air itam to visit the previous babysitter. And visitations had completed. Lesser places and lesser red packets, hah.

Before dinner, like the pastor said it will be good for the head of family to read the verses of deuteronomy to bless the children and grandchildren for days to come. So my agong took the lead and read deuteronomy chap28 verse 1 to 14 before we started the rich dinner. Festive seasons are all about good food. =D

My brother came later on. Then my cousins all came to my house to have a sit. Sis on skype and they had a short chat. Bro gave my mum a 12 year old chivas. After everyone gone back, I persuaded my mum to let me have a taste on it. Finally am allowed and bro mixed some coke with it for me. A glass won't make people drunk so I'm in good condition just the face was reddish. Mum asked 'you got mabuk anot?' lol, just one glass la,aduih. =P

Happy Chinese New Year!=D

New Year eve- I slept till quite late. Had a lil' bit of charkoayteow, cheecheongfun, pasembur and mandarin orange. Haha. Then I was ordered to clean the spider webs and sweep the floor, though lazy still have to do. Oh, and my mum finally fed the kembara to full tank, yay.

Reunion dinner was good. Steamboat it was and I had 3 bowls. =D My agong likes sarsi, he had 3 cups I think, so cute, haha. Later on watched kungfu dunk, the movie was not bad. Helping on red packets, heard firecrackers, smses of wishes and pooh, it's officially cny!

Hoping the first day of cny will be enjoyable and the mood of cny will hike up.

Samedi (Saturday)

French trial lesson at 9. Got up pretty early and departed in case I'm lost or whatsoever. Whee, I'm fine all the way and reached alliance francais at 822, way earlier.=D Waited for the clerk to make payment and direct me to the class and she's not here yet, ish. The cleaning lady then directed me to the level 1 class, late for a few mins. =X

There's approximately 15++ students, teen,young adults, adult to a 50+ year old lady. I sat down and my whole mind blank. I'm thinking, 'what's the teacher talking about??I don't understand a word besides bonjour, salut and je m'appele.' The teacher was speaking in pure french. And we were supposed to create a convo with the person beside, I'm still blank and don't know that's what I should do. The person beside roughly told me and I'm left on my own, my partner was farah, a 15 yr old girl, can't expect much from her too, she's as equally blur.

Then each of us had to speak, I was thinking: this is my first trial class and you expect me to know the words, meaning and pronounce it?ohno! When it's my turn, I just listened how people said it and follow, without knowing the meaning! ish. I'm handicapped there. And the words in the board, no idea at all.

When it comes to numbers, month and day, it's better. At least I know the english meaning of the words. Well, numbers ain't easy too when combine the thousands, hundreds and stuff. I had difficulty when we were asked to speak on when's our birthday and how old are we. eg. J'ai dix neuf. (I'm 19) I'm under pressure and hoping the 2 hours past faster. When I'm done, phew, relieved but not bad, I learnt pretty many words today, at least worth my rm20?Hah.

Gurney plaza my next stop. Looked around and had lunch with boney. Chocolates given again! =D A box of them to share with py darl and me. Heehee. Thankew for the chocs and lunch. =)

Got back after that, fetched yoke cheng and went queens. Ahh, didn't meet yoke since sep! Happy to meet up again and she had 5 weeks sem break, yay. When I'm bored I will just ask her out or go to her house. :) Had caramel cream frap shared with her, at least just paid half and not the full amount, so would not be that 'heart-aching',lol. Met suiyen and lee mun there and we had a chat. ohh, yoke also said I'm corpulent already compared to last time.=(

Lingered awhile and didn't get what I wanted. Sighs. And it's time to go back, have to be at home before my mum. Aunt's family had arrived at ama's house, getting merrier and merrier. All had come back except my uncle from u.s, my sis in uk and my cousin sis in labuan. Watched IP Man again. My ama also said: 'chocs again? you better keep it and eat next time, I'm scared of your sore throat already, later I don't know how to deal with you'. Haha.

Tomorrow ain't going to church, ama will be super busy for dishes tomorrow.

When I reached my ama's house. My uncle was there! He came back from miri already with Jane, his esposa. Went to kitchen and talked to ama. Told her how I lost in burma road, how much is the course and the snacks I bought. She said, 'buy chocolate things again? later you become fatter and fatter, and become fei po, that day you just had chocolates.' ooops, haha. After a few mins, she asked softly 'eh, what are they talking about?I don't know how to listen english, is it about your cousin?' Then I replied silently too. *lawak*

I saw her preparation of dishes for cny. The favourite bamboo shoots are ready! wheee. The specialty of 龙岩人.

My mood was very good and I helped whatever my ama asked me to do. ;) Porridge as dinner and off I go to wash my car. I'm washing a car after so many years, I last washed when I'm in lower primary. 45 mins of work with the aid from marianne, a-domestic-worker-going-to-her-employer-soon, and my car is clean and sparkling. =D

Of tang yuan and crackers

What I did today? I made tang yuan and fried fish crackers. :)

1. Fish crackers.
Put the uncook slices of crackers under the sun so that it could expand nicely when fried.
When frying, make sure the oil is heated enough. Some frying skills are needed to ensure the crackers will expand normally and cooked, also have to prevent it to curl up. After a min or two, the cracker is taken off from the wok quickly.
