Caversham Wildlife Park

Last day in Perth yet I still went out, spent the time to the fullest. The night before I was packing the whole room like crazy so I could go to caversham with joey and her bf. ;)

After 1.5 years here, at last, to caversham, it is around 45mins to 50mins away from perth. It was not reachable by bus, luckily joey has a car. Student entrance fee is $15.

Koala on touch duty. They are adorable!

Feeding the donkey was fun, you just throw the food and it would open its mouth wideee.

can you see the pouch on the kangaroo mummy?

There's other animals that I did not take pictures, different kind of birds, wallabies, snakes, quokka, wild boar, wombat etc.

Back in the evening and they helped me shift my luggage and boxes to the storage room, really thankful! If not, I can't imagine myself carrying one by one to the store room, so heavyyy.

Bye bye perth, see you 27th february.

In the evening, met up with shan to go burswood for the summer beatz concert. I was lucky enough that shan invited me as she got free tickets, it was $99 each. The concert featuring akon, jay sean, florida, ciara and travvie mccoy. Jay sean more shuai compared to others, =P. The tickets we got had seating, which were good as we can see the whole view without being blocked.

Akon which was the main character of the day appeared last and said, if you are my real fans, take off your shirt and swing it, lol.

Started at 630, ended 1030. They were very punctual.

My first ever concert, not bad. ;)

Rottnest Island

A delayed post.

Went to rottnest straight after exams, which is on 18th nov. 5 of us from college depart to rottnest via ferry at fremantle. The so called ferry was an interesting ride, it's considered a boat i guess? The ride was thrilling, enjoyed it the most when it went fast and bumpy. =P We were lucky enough to spot whales on the way to the island, 3 humpback whales!

on the bumpy boat ride with shan

Reaching the island, we rent bikes for a day $28 to ride around the island

Fyi, I'm not a very good biker. =S So I felt super tired going up slopes and some slopes, I just gave up and pushed the bike. It was really tiring as we bike at least maybe 15km? However, the scenery that you see made it all worth it. :)

Little salmon day, i love the clearrrrrr water, it's cold too though it's summer

I just played with water since I can't swim, and there's fishes swimming around too, how serene and beautiful!

lighthouse view; cycling view ( I'm at the back, haha)

up and up the winding stairs, to the peak of the lighthouse

The last ferry back to perth is 4.30pm, so early right? Therefore, we had to cycle back to return the bikes and board on the ferry. Had a quick shower in the public bathroom and off we go.

Dinner at la poretta, italian cuisine.

my salmon pasta; pizza that we all shared

After dinner, we don't feel like going back yet, so we chill at gino's cafe. Munching on cakes and chocolate drink.

Totally relaxed day after exams!

Post exams stress-free !

The night that I finished exams, a few college friends and I went to leedersville for italian food at Siena's. It was just ok, no biggie, the pizzas personally to me were normal and not very tasty. The pasta were slightly better.

college mates:from top, andrew, kim, adrian and sebastian

the bottom one is the san churros fiesta, yums!
different type of chocolate sauce, icecream, caramel, dip with the churros beside

Ended the night by watching the social network in kim's room which i eventually fell asleep as I slept little throughout the exams.

Aku dah balik!

Helooo peeeps, it's beeeen a long long time since I step in here and I've stop reading blogs too since last semester. It had been a hectic winter break and hectic semester, but it is now over! Overloading units were not fun, don't attempt it, it will drive you nuts with the workload.

I am so happy now that exam's are over and summer break, 3 months! Wooohooooo! I'm going back to penang sooon, the first thing I need to accomplish is to cut down my weight, it is sky rocketing and gone to a stage that I can't believe I'll ever has this weight in my life, it is very serious. =(

Anyways, finished 1.5 years of uni and 1.5 years to go? So fast right?

Will just have a quick update on my LAST winter break. It was fun and tiring and exciting as it was my first time travelling myself and my mum did not oppose, whee, the best thing is you pay for your own holidays, it feels nice. ;)

So I went over to singapore, universal studios, Asia investment banking conference by LSE where I met super smart and cool people all over mainly UK and USA and of course the kiasu singaporeans. I stayed at a hostel as it was so much cheaper, around 20sgd a night, 6 people in a dorm, not bad, just have to share toilet, it's quite fun to stay at budget place once a while. I met an uncle there who talked to us until 3am, met a germany girl who is working as an intern, met backpackers yada yada. After conference, just visited orchard, bugis, smu and marina something.

Then I went over to sydney for a conference and travelled around 5 days. I like sydney better than melbourne though, no offence to melb people. However, melbourne has better restaurants and hang-out places. In sydney, I tried the very yummy hurricane pork ribs and pancakes at darling harbour. The typical places, opera house, bridge, circular quay, market city, sydney fish market...After sydney, 3 days in melbourne which was too short, I didn't get to go anywhere except around the city, I wanna go there again.

After the whole thing, uni reopened for the second semester so there, end of my winter break.
=D

Aiesec Cultural Night

Tuesday evening was the aiesec cultural night. We ought to wear traditionally, to my dismay, many of them didn't really wear culturally, I felt so overdress. =X I borrowed the baju kurung from andrew's friend. It's so long, I had to lift up the skirt when I'm walking to prevent tripping over. haha

The night started with country presentation by the exchange participants, dinesh is going to ukraine, another one is going to africa i think, and there were 2 aiesec alumni who shared their experiences of exchange, ahh, make me so wanna go to china for exchange, haha.

After the sharing, we had cultural quizzes. I'm glad my group didn't win, =P. Coz' you know what, the grand prize turned out to be 'multicultural' meat, HAHAH, funnnnnyyyy right. It's assorted raw meat with maybe sausages bacon and stuff, lol.
