City centre

Every friday i have 1 hour class, which is the accounting workshop. So after that i went to perth city centre with a friend since i have nothing to do. And every friday the shops are operating till 9pm, later than usual days which is 5pm. Walk around the streets, going in shops and survey for prices yada yada. We definitely walk a lot, from barrack street, to murray to woolsworth and to northbridge. And i successfully not buying chocolate muffins and cookies, i wanted to buy initially but put back on the rack after that, Lol.

Had hungry jack's soft cone for 50c, it's very creamy. =D

Then i don't know where i am, there's a row of shops and i spot a candy shop, and they are demonstrating on the making of their very special candy!

people looking on the interesting candy making

After that we all get to try one lil' peice of it, a passion fruit candy, it's nice! And the design has a heart there, pretty.

i love you candy and watermelon candy, lovely eh

more candy
Nice candy comes with a nice price, its $5.90 for 200g,hah.

Then proceed to dinner, we settled in billy lee's in northbridge.

Humongous portion. But the food is baddddd, and tasteless. My ama can cook better than that!

To subiaco

Today classes end at 12. =D Lunch was good, meat pie, coleslaw, potato n' pumpkin soup, yum. Coz' my college has this party thingy, and the theme is wild wild west, gotta wear some cowgirl-ish attire/indian groove. So Deanne and me decided to go subiaco to get some cheap stuff from secondhand shop. I don't wanna spend much coz' if i spend on every event, i gonna go broke. So i get a really simple shirt for 8bucks. I don't think after the party, i'll ever wear that again. I most probably will be underdressed but just don't care-lah right?=p

This party suppose to be tonight, but most people are sick so it's postpone to next friday.

gelato from gelare after buying our stuff =D
swiss choc caramel and dark choc

that's deanne, 23, from canberra studying postgrad forensics (cool right?), considered as the only white girl i can talk to more frequently in college, how saddening, i'm very anti social here, always lock inside my room =(

I've got really itchy throat and nose for a few days already, hope it will go away soon.

Non related:

These were taken last week when my mum and sis were still here.

Heloo again, it's 1 week plus here already.

Had lectures for a week now. Ok, it's not interesting. This coming week tutorials and labs coming up, I certainly have a lot of work to do now. =( And everything I need to prepare myself as in the lecture materials and tutorial sheets and also diy those questions which I don't know, guess this is called the independent-study. =x

Food, well, western food, 'subways' and big pieces of chicken are the norm in college i'm staying now, I don't wanna get fat here.=( But i guess it's impossible unless I don't eat, but it's so tempting, how could you not eat?You paid for it anyway. sighs.

Well, just know a couple of new people, not many yet, still try to make more friends here, aiks. Not fun at all. And walking 25 mins to biz building? Definitely a good exercise. And plus 8am classes everyday to thursday? Yea, hope i don't wake up late again.

Oh, and i got an offer from royal holloway london. Shheesh? I'm already here. I shouldn't get, coz' it may be disturbing when i thought of it.

Currently: being full of the chicken and rice dinner with vanilla icecream and peaches.

Things I gonna do later : do stats tutorial and hopefully the compulsory online modules. grr, i dislike those, and and probably some reading before tmr's class. Yea rite, hope, im such a lazy bum.

Ohoh, before i forgot, i join the ocf (overseas christian fellowship) and went to subiaco church of christ. The people there make me feel not so miserable, hah. pretty good. Tuesday is the club carnival, planning to join some clubs and get to know people.

Getting to make friends here has been harder than I thought, don't think that it's fun here. ohwell, i should get my stuff done.

St George's orientation

Saturday morning we walked to kings parks and had breakfast, toast, egg and bacon again, haha. Then briefing on the rules and stuff in the club room. After that, we had some mini treasure hunt, it's about finding the places in college, and I really had no idea on the locations like the library, the laundry and so forth. Next, we went to the tower in st george, the staircase is really spiral and small, only 1 person can fit through, I don't know how many stairs had I climbed, i got a tad dizzy coz' kept round and round.

Later on went swan valley for supa golf! Yay, learnt to play golf at last, golf is kinda fun to me. But I can't hit it very far yet, need about 6 to 7 times before successfully drop into the holes.

the tower, we came via the small door

holly, 18 only, im old =( she's from WA itself
daniel, 3rd year civil engineering, the most approachable guy,lol

I arrived.

Hey guys, i arrived safely, watched bride wars in the plane. I like s'pore airlines! the food given also scrumptious. =D Didn't really walk around changi airport. So it's 50dollars for the cab to my uni, expensive!

So am currently in st george's college. I'm taking 4 subjects this semester, namely macroecon, microecon, financial accounting and econs and biz stats. Stats again! =( Anyway, I went late for the orientation so I didn't really meet many people yet. The campus is huge, plus the biz school building is right at the end, from my college i think i need to walk for 25-30mins. Exercise eh?haha. And my classes 8am's everyday except fri! how sad.

Food provided up to date in the dining hall is all about toast, wrap, bread with tuna, bacon, vege, cheese etc. And large pieces of chicken. I miss rice already, haha. Though I'm not a fan of rice. And I tell you, the rules in st georges are so mahuan-ish. Eg, you cannot open a new table when you dine, must fill up the places left even if you don't know those people. The person who pour the last cup of juice/water must go to the servery and refill it. And you must kindly ask around if someone wants it. The phone mustn't ring. If that happens, the person must walk to the front, stand infront of the microphone and sing the teapot song to everyone. Then
cannot change table if you take a second serving and wish to sit with other people. You will be called 'a table slut'. =O etc etc.

So many rules right? That's not all yet. =x And the fact in my college is that asians can be counted with our fingers. Coz' mostly westerners. So i'm depressed, coz' they don't bother you, haha. These few days i eat alone then i just faster finished it and walk back to my room. Hope this situation will be different after a few weeks.

And I'm very blessed to get an on suite room as a fresher, as seniors have the priority to choose their rooms. So yay, i need not share the bathroom.

Hello after a long silence

Hey people, just some notification, me is going for economics degree in uwa, yea, after a long wait, I'm finally going to university.

Soo, I 'm leaving tomorrow! That's so fast. At night. Gonna reach there thursday morning, bahh, I've miss the most important 3 days of orientation [enrolment of subjects and stuff =( ]. But I'm still lucky anyway, got my visa yesterday! Really blessed, got it after 6 working days. And will be living on campus, St George's college.

Too many things to bring over, hope and hope they don't be overweight, haha. Start from scratch, coz' I know practically no one there. =x
