Penang one day trip

On the 25th, Joey and her family came down to penang from kayelle. Instead of bringing her around, me as the ahem bad penangite, not knowing the roads well enough, ended up following her family for the trip. ooops. We first met at lorong selamat.

Then we proceed to the burmese and vietnamese temples near pulau tikus. Saw the sleeping buddha etc. Then to tropical spice garden. My new and poor slipper broke when we were trekking through the garden. Bare footing is the only choice and joey gave me her socks as protection from cuts. There, walking without shoes. How embarrassing, hah.

Then, to teluk bahang dam.

Last destination, rasa sayang hotel.

joey =]

Last last place, we went to gurney wanting to buy slippers, but I don't find any that satisfy me. Thus, dropped her back at her aunts place and byebye, see ya next year. =D

Hari Raya Haji

Yay-ness, first time visiting a malay friend's house for haji. Marlina, my colleague from kumon invited me and jon to her house. Yep, I'm back in kumon, lol. Her house is further up near teluk kumbar. Coz I said i wanna eat her cheese cake and she made some, wheee. Simple dishes with lemang and ketupat, good enough! =D

Foood, cheese cake on the left!

Hola! Penang

HOHOHO, going back to penang. Before that chilled with harman and mary again at matilda bay.

The last 2 days there, college didn't provide food anymore. I bought this 8aud char koay teow which is not yummy at all, but in a very big portion. The indian pide of 9aud tasted not bad, quite filling and yummy.

Leaving to kl from perth airport, beautiful sky at 5+in the morning.

airasia pre book meal, nasi lemak, still quite alrite

Penang!!!! Woooooohoooooo!

Went for Jco donuts at last! mmmmm.

Jalan-jalan hari kelima- C Restaurant Lounge

Peiwen told me about the 'Pay what you think' promotion in the revolving C restaurant at St Martin's Tower, level 33, perth city centre. So we went to try out the dishes as I don't think there will be offer like this in near future. The food there are more towards fine dining, so we can't afford either if there's no promotion. Peiwen had reserved the table a few days ago as the tables are quickly filled up if you didn't reserve.

I had lunch at this restaurant today (Friday) before going to the beach.

overlooking the counter

We chose the same entree.

Mandurah Blue Swimmer crab mousse with basil foam, garlic foccacia crostini
It's yummy, I quite like it

4 of us went
me peiwen; lisa, lynn

Our main course

1.Crispy skinned Tasmanian salmon fillet, asparagus, baby beetroot and watercress salad with horseradish crème (peiwen and lisa ordered this)
2. Five-spice chicken breast, chargrilled mango salsa, chilled green tea noodle and vegetable vermicelli (lynn and me ordered this)

The salmon is cooked really well, I like it too, and of course I like my noodle and chicken, could really tell that the quality is gooooood. =D

Dessert time! Ordered 4 different ones so we could taste every type.

1.Sticky date pudding, vanilla bean ice cream, butterscotch sauce- peiwen's
2.Individual Chilled Mango and raspberry cheesecake,Passionfruit coulis- mine
3.Trio of ice cream filled profiteroles with chocolate sauce- lynn's
4.Double chocolate tart, Chantilly cream and crème anglaise- lisa's

It's very fine, my raspberry cheesecake score 10/10, if it could be a little bigger =P Tried each one, it's also equally tasty, love all of 'em.

Altogether should be $45/pax. But we each paid 15 instead. Haha, we paid and faster went into the lift to prevent any stares from the waitresses.

Not to be forgotten, their service-thumbs up! Nice dining experience. =D

Jalan-jalan hari kelima- Cottesloe Beach

Finally, at last! I get to go to the beach, wheee, so happpy. It's cottesloe beach which is like 23 mins away from my college. The beach here has nice, fine, white sand and clear, cold water with big waves. After parting with peiwen in the city, calvin met me up and we took a bus together there and meeting up with the rest.

Excited! And yay! Beach in sight. =D We just chilled out and played water with sand. And the waves were really big, it could sweep me away and I don't know how to swim, so I didn't go too near.
