The last post for year 2009

New year's eve spent in queens with yoke cheng for a while. There's nothing that captures our interest except food. We bought secret recipe's cakes back to celebrate the new year, =D. Every restaurant was fully loaded, having people queueing up to dine. The mall was so quiet. But massive jam outside. A countdown concert was being held in the open space right outside the mall.

Last day of 2009, how do you feel?

2009:
I went to uni, first year.
I went out of malaysia.
I studied dcmau.
I had my first work.
I became a tutor.
I had a tough time going through uni apps.
I had another tough time making friends in perth.
I had satisfactory uni results.
I grew corpulent in perth.
I learnt to eat beef.
I learnt to use atm machines.
yada yada.

Goods and bads, ups and downs that made 2009 another year to remember. :)

My first tambun?

30th noon, met up with wani from wilderness adventure camp back in 2006. 3 years had past and amazingly she still remembers me well, ooops. I don't really keep in touch with her since then but she suggested a gathering in times square. She came all the way from parit buntar. =X However, she then realized there's nothing much to see and we walked to komtar and prangin mall. She came with her friend, eira.

And no offence, but i don't understand why they like kfc so much. Lol. I'm kinda sick of kfc. So I just had mash potato for lunch coz' I don't want kfc chicken again. Just had them on christmas. A very funny thing was we were practically having a tough time talking and understanding each other. I'm not fluent in malay, I can't think of the malay words to speak therefore I mix with english. She don't quite understand my english too. So? I ended talking very dumbly, broken malay. Hahaha, what an experience. She told me about her studies and stuff, she wishes to pursue a detective course, interesting one.

Tambun at last!Ghee seng restaurant. Supposedly going with marlina too but she was not allowed.=( Ohwell, nevermind, at least I got to meet my friends from butterworth too. And I also tried my first 'qi le' if I'm not wrong, the thorn-shell thingy that to me is quite tasteless if you don't put some chilli sauce, haha. Besides, first time trying soft shell crab too. I'm like katak di bawah tempurung coz' there's many types of seafood that I never eat before. That day we had 5 dishes altogether comprising those mentioned just now, flower crab, fried sotong and a plate of vege. All these for 76.30rm. Kinda cheap eh?

After that we went to autocity for a stroll as I never been there. Well, now I can tell how's autocity looks like, lol. With expensive restaurants, bistro and auto shops. That's about it, a happy wednesday and second last day of 2009 with lovely friends.

Meeting with the love ones =D

Past few days had been fruitful, get to meet some friends after half a year or more than that. Met darling peiying and other hsc friends in pekaka dimsum place. Chen han ordered a really pricey tea, 'cha wang'. lol That's why it's expensive coz' the king of tea eh? hah. And not forgetting different colours of siu mai? Lawak.

Get to talk a bit only with darl, not enough for me! =P Nevermind, you needa study hard for your exam, go peiying!=] Ohyea, you were close that you said if we took 50, instead we had taken 40.

Then, after a week of so-near-yet-so-far, I went to yun's house at last. She is also preparing for exam, goood luckkk! =) And our tradition began, haha, testing if it was a photo day. And I tried on her bright pink nail polish on one hand which then I tried hard to hide it during teaching in kumon, lol.

Movie with APing jie & dinner with the staffs

I wanna watch avatar! But yeepin had watched it, so chosen bodyguards and assasin for yesterday. There's a lot of kung fu stunts, some were quite violent. But it's quite sad that a lot of people died just because of one man. Movie was not bad, meaningful and kinda touching.

Then, yeepin chose to dine in rou ku cha wang. I ordered this glutinous rice balls and they were tasteless! argh. 6.90 per plate.

Rushed back home to change and all. Waited marlina as we were going to E&O together with jonathan as the kind driver, haha. We reached in 15 mins, claps for him. =P The food is better from the last time I went but too bad I don't really enjoy seafood as in those oysters, sotongs, etc etc or salmon from the sushis. Dessert choices are alright but not very super yummy that type except the smooth cheese cake and chocolate cake pudding thingy.

The little star of yesterday night, 3 years old justin, boss's son. Ain't he just so cute and adorable? And he smiled so cheerfully in every photo, what a cutie boy, hahaha. =P He likes to take pictures apparently since everytime he requests 'Let me see!' and perhaps a lil' bit of narcissism as he said he's nicer than jonathan, lol.

We all took turns to have a photo with him and marlina even asked him to kiss her, taking advantage, ahems, lol.

Reached home at about 11ish, mum didn't say anything nor she called and ask what time I'm coming back, unexpected leniency nowadays. But it's not that I go out often. =PP

Christmas eve today, staying at home only, how pathetic am I. =(

Revive after 2 weeks

Hellooo people! Enjoying your holidays? I'm enjoying myself in penang. =D Besides work, some occasional meets with friends and makan sessions.

It's in the TYY coffeeshop just outside my house and I never notice how good his business is.

I went to kl for 1.5days, only shopped in midvalley for a day then came back already since I tagged along with my mum for her work in putrajaya. That day was a wednesday. And to my astonishment, it's fully packed with people, the parking bays were all full. Especially inside jusco, the situation was nuts and in total chaos. I can't even access to some areas as everyone was busy picking discounted items. Decoration inside midvalley is pretty, a lot of big christmas trees.

3. Wei chieh is back!! Met her up last thursday. Had lunch in bayan place@dpiazza near pisa. Pics of food at her place, shall get from her later. The food is good and much nicer than d' food garden that I tried the other day. I had thai fish fillet and rice while weichieh had chicken kofu thingy, I forgot the name.

Present from marlina the colleague, how cool is that?Lol. And it's even cooler that she gave me cloth for baju kurung. Before that I just said I don't have traditional clothes, and she really went and got one for me, and it's purple. Hehe, how thoughtful she is.

5. Yeivern is back from vacation! Met her up for lunch, supposedly in hidden recipe, but closing soon, so gotta go to mcd instead. Time was too short, we hadn't finish talking, must meet again. =]

6. Tomorrow dinner @ E&O hotel, sponsored by the boss, wheee.

Work, kids event, dinner? I don't know what title to give

So after working, I went to church to help out in a kids event at church. It's the annual christmas celebration for kids. My job was to lead the yellow group, help them in games, shout and sing with them yada yada.

Ohwell, being a not aggressive person, we got last place, oops, disappointed the kids, hey but not entirely my fault, LOL. There's extra gifts, so I got 2 packets of junks, wheeeee. =P

And yay, successfully asked my mum to dine in crepe cottage, haha. Ordered cheesy bake with vege and chicken inside ($12.00), my mum had fish and veges($9.00). The service today was very poor. =X

The crepe is literally my ama's mihun kuih, ahaha, just that that one was with icecream and whipcream.

My mum said her friend in bni open this Iris kitchen, serving quite yummy food, hmm, shall go and try that next round.=]

With dear xiting =P

Yipee yay! Met with my beloved xiting at last after weeks in penang. =D First stop pcghs again to take my sis's cert, then maxim again. I tried the kahlua gelato while xiting had baileys. She got a double scoop by accident. lucky her. =] Then where else? gurney. Bought tickets for couples retreat at 3. The person asked me do I want a couple seat, it's like heloo? Xiting is right beside me, do you think we both need that? Lol.

Lunch in winter warmers, guess what? we are both first timers there. =P

We ordered the same set, with me having bolognese cheese and xiting having chicken cheese
appetizer, the main meal and english breakfast tea ($19.90)
The appetizer was too healthy, not very my type =P However, the main dish, cheese baked spaghetti was so so filling.

Loitered. Talked. Going shop to shop. Evening's here. So gotta bid gooodbye and I dropped her home.
