So sad, once again, with heavy hearts, I needa leave the food haven, leave my friends and family. Second semester of my first year, here I come. Study again after 3 months of slacking. Morning last meeting with yingyun . . . and she got me indian bangles which I actually wanted to buy in little india but never manage to get there. =))

Noon, my departure. =( Xiting made it! She supposedly meet me up with yeepin them but fell sick, ohnoo. Got to see her face just before I go to the departure hall, it's like 10mins before I step in. So dramatic, haaa. Wan nee and yyun came too, wheee. Kokpin and kelvin came along with xiting as well. Byee ama byee mum byee penang byee food byee my lovely bed.

Thursday night. Christine asked me over to her house to play cards. Darrel and jonathan came too. Just a short game, say 1 hour plus? And I don't dare to stay too late as well.

The game is new to me, 'wait 10' literal translation from hokkien dan chap, ahaha. I lost quite many rounds. The punishment were bacardi and some lychee alcohol drink, but at least not so bitter. Darrel lost more I think, too bad, lol.

After kapitan, met up with yee pin and wan nee. I bought tickets for percy jackson the day before and yesh, at last, got to watch percy, I quite like it personally, just that the woman with snakes was quite creepy.

Chu si. Date with darl and an de lu. Went out and tried the sticks fire bistro outside queens. Sadly that day did not have the set lunch. We found a voucher that gives 20% off set lunch but could'nt use it anyway.

Wanted to watch percy jackson but the queue was tooooo long. Then we went on to jco and talk for awhile. Nowadays lower secondary school students all hang out with fancy mobile phones and a group of friends, how time changes. tsk tsk.

Third day of cny was fun! Invited some friends over =DD. Marlina and her niece, zhiling and shyang bin. wheee. They came very early like 9+ 10am in the morning, haha. Marlina made me a super yummy moist choc cake, she's always that thoughtful. =)

Noon time is byebye time. They were going back and I'm going to watch true legend in queens with my cousins and mum. I like true legend, it's nice, the kungfu stunts were great, some sort like 'fearless' style movie.

A fierce year? Exciting year? Or what it may be, I hope I would have an interesting uni life and not just the plain old dull eat and study.=X Hope can make a change. =]

Anyway, lucky enough to spend my cny in malaysia, with all the cookies, peanut ones especially and arrowhead chipsss! Yumm. And of course last time eating ama's cooking. This cny is rather quiet, relatives came earlier instead which was 2 weeks ago.

First day- as usual, we went visiting with new attire! More cookies, more packet drinks, more. . . fooooood. OH, and, more red packets. =D My 11 year old cousin brother told me he has a facebook, so interesting kids nowadays.

Back to a few days, met up with wei wei and xiting in college. Had lunch together in hidden recipe cafe.

Hammer bay

Dinner date with marlina, jonathan and gf. Supposedly having dinner at the hammer bay ikan bakar shop, which is at the back of this yellow shop, facing the sea. AND, it's not opened! Grrrr, how disappointing. Dejected, we went to try out the one beside it, haha. Seri anggerik? something like that.

Ordered 4 dishes with rice, the vege was super pathetic, its like a few leaves only, can't they know how to estimate the portion for 4 person. Aduhai. And a jug of apple juice for drinks.

Service: not efficient, super slowwww. And they forgot to serve our fish, we almost finished all the dishes and rice before the fish was served.

They were alright, but heard marlina said the one shop which is closed serve much yummy food than these, sigh, don't get to go. =( But at least get to meet them. =] All of these are rm58, quite reasonable.

After dinner, marlina and me lingered around pantai jerejak pasar malam. Shared pins buying with her, 5 pairs for 2.50rm, how cheap is that. And a medium pack of popcorn for rm1 only! Haven't tried if it's nice though, lol.

Agong's 82nd

7th February, Sunday

Most of my relatives couldn't make it and visit penang as usual during cny. Hence, they all came earlier to pre celebrate cny as well as celebrate my agong's 82nd. Starview, crc are all fully booked, so we tried out a new restaurant at abu siti lane- Jade palace. I don't like the jelly fish, coz' I just don't like its slimy nature. Overall is alright, nothing to shout about. The most important thing is the fellowship of family members. =]

Before dinner, got myself a new watch, wheee, at last not watch-less anymore. The old one died.

Back to dinner, photo taking is a must in reunion.

16 days left. Stopped working since last friday and have been going out everyday since sunday. =X money flowing out.

Well, today at last christine and my movie date was successful. We watched Fame. The storyline is exactly the same as the old version but the new one has some missing parts since it's being cut short. Asked andelu along too.

Before that lunch at kim gary's. The so called fruit milk is the bottled yogurt drink sold in supermarkets. =.=

Nothing much in gurney and we went to queens. Andelu and me went to the candy biscuit shop thingy at the lower ground. We tried many types of the snacks sold, feeling funny, guilty and fun. We just ate and went out, HAHA. Without buying anything.

Before going back, I bought beard papa's cream puff, ahhh, how I love the cream, =P.

#1 Ultimaxx cafe beside queens

tomyam fried rice rm4.50, It's goooood, with 3 to 4 prawns, just a tad oily

#2 Peipa duck rice @ restaurant chew yoke weng, pekaka

Forgot to take a picture, perhaps too hungry, haha. 1/4 duck, tauhu for 2 pax, vege and 2 sugarcane drinks for rm18.50. Not bad eh?

I almost forgot the place until darl py told me the restaurant's name, then I only could find it.

#3 Spicy sour fish bihun soup @ opposite sg ara police station (a corner kopitiam)

More people went for the spicy sour noodle but there are a lot more options like fried rice, char hor fun, and all those zhu cha stuff. rm6 for the noodle, but worth it, I tapao-ed one back and it was 2 big bowls. The soup is indeed satisfying.

Initially I gave up coz' I can't find the place, when I was going back, yoke asked me to take a shortcut way and the road that I'm turning in coincidentally is bangkok lane! how happy I was, haha.
